There are 3 versions of the PVS-69 Alpha 1 Binos (1.1, 1.2 and 1.3). Assembly and parts should all be similar except for the 1.2. The 1.2 uses slightly shorter bridge screws and will not work with the 1.1 or 1.3. It also uses Stow Off PCBs but that created intermittent problems so it's recommended to not use those and just wire the Tube PCBs directly to the Bridge PCB as with the 1.1 and 1.3.

PVS-69 Assembly Steps

Step 1: Gather your parts

• - 4x Bolts
• - 4x Nuts
• - 8x Washers
• - 2 x Tube PCB
• - 1x Bridge PCB + 2x Mounting Screws
• - 4x Leaf Springs
• - 1x M3 Heatset Insert + 1x M3 Bolt
• - 1x Power Switch
• - 1x Switch Cover (Small/Large)
• - 1x 18awg 12" Red/Black Wires
• - 1x Female DC Port + Adapter
• - 2x IPD Screws

 

Step 2: Solder the Power Button and Jumper

 

Step 3: Solder the Leaf Springs and Wires to Tube PCB

 

Step 4: Route the Assembled Tube PCB through the Pods and glue it in place

 

Step 5: Route the wires through to the Bridge PCB and leave about 1.5" of wires for slack

 

Step 6: Solder the Assembled Tube PCBs to the Bridge

 

Step 7: Using the excess wires you just cut off assemble and solder them to the female port. 

 

Step 8: Route the assemble Female Power Port through the Rear Bridge BEFORE soldering it to the Bridge PCB!

Step 9: Solder the Female Power port to the Bridge PCB

 

Step 10: Done but check for continuity and shorts before Final Assembly! Great job and enjoy!
